## Explanation

The formula used in this calculator is:

$$R = \dfrac{l}{S} \times \rho$$

with:

• $$R$$ is the resistance expressed in ohms [Ω]
• $$l$$ is the length expressed in meters [m]
• $$S$$ is the cross-sectional area expressed in square meters [m²]
• $$\rho$$ is the resitivity expressed in ohms metre [Ω.m]
